Installation of the customer-owned Function Modules
To access the Function Module area, navigate to "Administration" > "Connection Data" > "Function Modules".
The installation of customer-owned function modules involves three steps:
Enter the prefix for the technical name of the customer-owned Function Modules in the Performer Suite
Select the necessary Function Modules via License Match
Click on “Check” to initiate the creation of the Custom Function Modules in the development system
Prerequisites
Check which custom function modules are required.
Check if the SAP user has the necessary permissions to create function modules.
Check if a developer key is required.
Select Prefix & Function Modules
First, select the development system and enter the prefix for the custom function modules. The initial prefix (Z_) is a freely selectable prefix that can be customized if needed.
The SAP module for the installation of the Function Modules does not support technical names which include ”/“.
We recommend enabling the "License Match" option to ensure that only the Custom Function Modules relevant to your licensed products are created:

It is essential to select the function modules of the licensed products during creation to ensure that all functions can be executed successfully.
In the area "Delimiter" it is possible to set the delimiter for Function Modules that need a delimiter for concatenated string fields.
Creation of Function Modules
Next, click 'Check' to initiate the creation of the function modules:

Relevant authorization checks need to be successful in advance to start the wizard! Please check this page if you encounter any authorization errors.
A wizard will guide you through the entire process of setting up and updating these objects. Please read the instructions carefully and follow them step by step.
First, the Performer Suite will detect that the specified custom function modules with the entered prefix do not exist in the target system:

Next, you can decide whether to use an existing function group or create a new one.

If you choose to create a new function group, you can define its technical name and description in the next step:

By proceeding through the wizard, you initiate the creation of the function modules:

If the creation was successful, the previously selected function modules should be highlighted in green:

These function modules must then be transported to the other systems in the system landscape.
