Transport of Function Modules

After creating the Function Modules in the development system they have to be transported to the quality assurance and production systems.
The automatic creation of the Function Modules has no relation to the transport mechanism. In case of updates, the Function Modules are created as temporary objects.

The following steps are required to write the entire Function Group including all elements on a transport:

  1. Call transaction SE80 and select the Function Group that was set up for the creation of the Function Modules.

  2. Add the Function Group to transport.

  5. Add the XX-Include to transport, the same way as the TOP-Include.

  6. Check if everything was added to the transport.

  7. After the transport is done, check in the target systems if the Function Modules are installed correctly.

If the prefix of the Function Modules is not the Standard "Z_" you have to check and save the prefix in every system!
