Comment Status
The Comment Status is a very helpful functionality to see if your comments in Docu Performer are always up to date. It's one thing to offer the possibility to add business and technical comments to entities, but paying attention that these comments are up to date rounds the whole functionality of the Docu Performer off.
The functionality itself is directly accessible in the entity grid for all systems. It supports your complete commenting and documentation concept.
Important for that functionality are the columns Change Date (from SAP), Comment Confirmation, and Comment Status.
The Change Date column is synchronized from the SAP systems and tells us the last change date of the specific entity in SAP.
The Comment Confirmation column is set by the Docu Performer. It is updated when a comment was changed or when the Confirm Comment functionality in the context menu is used.
The Comment Status is calculated as a combination of Change Date and Comment Confirmation and has three values:
No Comment - no comment is set in Docu Performer for that entity
Up to date - the comment of the entity is up to date (Change Date <= Comment Confirmation)
Outdated - the comment of the entity is outdated (Change Date > Comment Confirmation)
Pay attention that the Change Date can be different between systems in one landscape due to the Comment Sharing.
The Comment Confirmation date, however, is identical across the entire landscape. So it is up to you to decide at which level you want to ensure that your comments are up to date (Development, Quality Assurance, or Productive).
